Order & Delivery

When you order, you will be able to select a DESIRED DELIVERY DATE on our calendar. This is the date the brownies should arrive. However, it is not guaranteed. Our brownies are sent by DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 24, which has a 98% success rate of on-time next day delivery. We cannot take responsibility if either service fails to deliver on the date you select and if you really need brownies for a particular day, you may want to order them a day or two early.

Yes, both DPD and Royal Mail should send delivery notifications to your email (check spam) letting you know when they will arrive.

Yes they do. However, since we send them via tracked 24 with Royal mail and with DPD, some delivery drivers do want to hand the brownies to a recipient. It slightly depends on the driver. Both Royal Mail and DPD will email you a delivery window (check your spam!) and you can arrange to have it delivered on a different day or to a different address by using their tracking app.

If your brownies have not arrived 3 days after dispatch, please contact us at katie@cakeordeath.net and we will sort it out. We can also provide full tracking information.

Please get in touch (at katie@cakeordeath.net) with us as soon as you realise and if it has not been sent we can change the address. If it has already been sent, or you do not realise the address was incorrect and the package is returned to us, we are not responsible.

Sometimes when you order via Apple Pay or Paypal the system automatically takes the same billing address as delivery, so if you are sending brownies to a friend it will take their address for billing. This is not a problem as long as the order has gone through. The recipient will not receive billing information or any receipts - this is done by email to you.

You must place a separate order for each address. If you would like to order to more than five addresses, drop us a line at katie@cakeordeath.net and we can send you an order form.

Not at the moment - UK only including Northern Ireland.

Both Royal Mail and DPD should post your brownies or leave them in a safe place. However, some drivers do want to hand to a recipient so they may need to be in. Both Royal Mail and DPD will email you a delivery windowsand you can change the day it is delivered via their app.

All about brownies

Our brownies are wrapped in baking parchment and placed snugly in a beautiful yet sturdy leopard print gift box. We will also include a message on a postcard (you can specify the wording when ordering), as well as an ingredients list, with full details of allergens. The brownies are sent out in a cardboard wrap to further protect them - and every bit of packaging can be recycled.

The brownies last for two weeks, even out of the fridge, so they are fine to be in the post for a few days.

You can choose your flavours through our subscription service. You can choose to receive brownies every 4,6 or 12 weeks and choose exactly what goes into the box. Build a Box is only open to subscription customers.

They are marked on the ingredients sheet in bold.
GLUTEN: Many of our brownies are gluten-free and we use Doves Farm Gluten Free Flour. However, flavours like Biscoff and Oreo are not GF and even our GF flavours are not suitable for coeliacs due to the risk of cross-contamination with gluten flour, which is used in the bakery.
NUTS: Our Peanut, Hazelnut and Cherry Bakewell brownies contain nuts as do our Brookies. Other brownies do not; however if you have a severe nut allergy we cannot guarantee traces of nut won't be present in any of our brownies.
SOYA: We use soy milk in all of our brownies.
SULPHITES: only present in our Candied Orange brownies currently.
A note on MILK: although our bakery is dairy free, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that the kitchens in which our ingredients are made are. This means that we cannot guarantee against traces of dairy, and therefore unfortunately cannot guarantee safety for those with severe milk allergies.

You can order a box of 6 brownies or a box of 10 brownies, saving you 25% per brownie!

Each brownie measures approximately 6cm X 5cm and are around 2-3cm deep, although flavours like Peanut Butter and Biscoff are slightly deeper. Each box of 6 contains at least 500g of brownie and each box of 10 contains at least 800g of brownie.

Keep them wrapped up and pop them in the fridge ideally although they are fine out of the fridge.
